Copyright & DMCA Policy
Last updated: June 22, 2026
Tenrai (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. We will respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with applicable intellectual property laws, including the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).
1. Aggregated third-party data
Our API acts as a database catalog indexing and organizing metadata relating to anime, manga, characters, and voice actors. This includes text-based metadata, titles, synopses, and links to public promotional cover images. Tenrai does not host, stream, or distribute copyrighted media content. We only index metadata and reference public image URLs for search and informational purposes.
2. How to submit a copyright complaint
If you are a copyright owner or an authorized agent and believe that content accessible through our services infringes your copyright, you may submit a written notice to our designated agent at [email protected].
Your notice must include the following information:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf;
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed;
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity and that is to be removed or access to which is to be disabled, including the specific API endpoint, record identifier, URL, or image location;
- Your contact details, including your name, organization, address, telephone number, and email address;
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and
- A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
3. Action on complaints
Upon receipt of a valid and complete notification, we will investigate and, where appropriate, take action, which may include removing, disabling access to, or modifying the identified metadata or image links. We will act expeditiously to address legitimate requests.
